A Warranty Deed was received for this property on 12/31/2015. Our office did not know it had been sold at the 2015 Tax Sale until went to transfer the property in the computer on January 4, 2016. Left a message with Bob Schaffer who had prepared the Warranty Deed as to how to proceed. Mr. Schaffer got back with us today. He said that the property owner at the time of Tax Sale, Mike Higer, has the right to sell the property until it's redeemed. No title search had been requested by Ms. Prickett-Gray, so this was not caught before deed was presented to us. Mr. Schaffer stated that he would inform Ms. Prickett-Gray that she may want to look into the tax status of this property when he sends the recorded deed to her. |
